Over the long years, she has been dedicated to making music education accessible.
On 20 October 2015 (Tuesday), Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has conferred the title of University Fellowship to Yao in recognition of her significant contributions to the University and the community.
Yao is the first violinist to receive the University Fellowship for her endeavor in nurturing music talents. In support of PolyU’s endeavors in promoting music, she served as the University’s Artist-in-Residence in 2014/2015. PolyU students and staff were coached by Ms Yao on performing techniques and the remarkable experience of sharing the stage with her has enriched their perspectives in arts and culture.
The Orchestra directed by Yao Jue will present a University tour concert, Side by Side Concert @Baptist University on 7:30pm, 1 December 2015 at the Academic Community Hall of Hong Kong Baptist University. It aims to give joy of music to the University campus, provide opportunity to students to be involved in string music and HKSO through mentorship programme. Concert is free-of-charge to general public, HKSO encourages HKBU students, staff, and alumni, all music lovers, and all underprivileged groups that may have less chance to appreciate classical music, to come and enjoy the music night.
